Karl Bang
Shanghai born Karl Bang was formally trained in the 1940s by the master artists of Chinese painting and in the European painting tradition in France and Belgium. This cross-cultural fusion of styles has earned him the title of "Master of Contemporarary Eclecticism". For Karl, painting women goes much deeper than their outer beauty. He sees women as epitomising the gentler instincts of humankinde - nurturing, gentility, truth, and inner strength.
